Our operator arrives ahead of your event, sets up the robotic arm, studio softbox lighting and red carpet kit, and runs every session. Guests step onto the red carpet pose mark, the arm sweeps through a programmed cinematic arc with the camera capturing at high frame rate, and a short slow-motion clip lands on each guest's phone within seconds — by QR, email, SMS or AirDrop. Always attended.

It's the closest thing to a red-carpet moment at a major awards show that an event can offer. Studio softbox lighting hits every guest at the same flattering angle, the arm sweeps in a cinematic arc, and the finished slow-motion clip looks like it was shot for TV. Every guest leaves with a shareable video — and the booth itself is the centrepiece of the room.

Fully attended throughout — trained operator runs every session.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the Glambot actually do?

A motorised robotic arm sweeps a high-frame-rate camera around guests in a programmed cinematic arc — the same kind of "red-carpet at the Met Gala" shot you see at major awards events. Output is a short slow-motion video clip per session, designed for instant social sharing. Output is video only — the Glambot does not produce stills.

What format do guests get the videos in?

A portrait MP4 sized for Instagram Reels, TikTok and Stories — no resizing needed before posting. Delivered seconds after the capture via QR code, email, SMS or AirDrop straight from the booth.

How is the Glambot different from a 360 video booth?

Both produce slow-motion video, but in different formats. The 360 video booth has guests stand still on a low platform while a camera arm rotates around them at hip height — wide-angle, group-friendly, full-body shots. The Glambot is closer-up and cinematic, the arm sweeping at head height with studio softbox lighting hitting the subject directly — more "celebrity portrait" than "group video", better for VIP events, brand launches and gala-style events where every guest gets a moment in the spotlight.

How is the Glambot different from a regular photo booth?

Different output, different vibe. The Selfie Pod and our open-air booths capture still photos (with optional GIF/boomerang), guests pose at a camera on a stand, and the booth fits a corner of the room. The Glambot is a centrepiece — robotic arm, studio softboxes and a red carpet activation area; output is cinematic slow-motion video only; an operator runs every session. Many large events book both — Selfie Pod for the guest selfies, Glambot for the headline moment.

How much space does the Glambot need?

Around 4m × 4m of clear floor space and at least 3m ceiling clearance — the robotic arm sweeps in a wide arc and needs room to move freely. Best in hotel ballrooms, conference centres, gala venues and larger function rooms; not suitable for small intimate spaces.

Is the Glambot safe? It looks dangerous.

Yes — the robotic arm has built-in safety stops, sweeps in a predetermined arc, and operates at controlled speed. Our trained operator runs every session and guides guests on positioning, posing and where to stand. We've run hundreds of Glambot hires without incident.

What's included as standard with Glambot hire?

The robotic arm and high-frame-rate camera, two studio softbox lights flanking the camera, a red carpet pose mark with stanchions and ribbons for the activation area, trained operator for the duration of the hire, branded overlay on every clip, instant digital sharing to guests' phones, and a branded online gallery delivered after the event. Delivery, setup, calibration and collection are all included.

Can it be branded for corporate events?

Yes — branded overlay is included on every clip as standard (logo, event name, campaign hashtag, monogram). Send your artwork at booking. For higher-spec brand activations and product launches we can also coordinate the rig position with a custom backdrop or branded wall behind the pose mark — flag at quote stage.

Does the Glambot need an operator? Can it run unattended?

Always attended — a trained operator runs every session, calibrates the arm before guests arrive, manages the queue, guides each guest on positioning, and triggers each capture from the control station. The Glambot is not designed for unattended / drop-and-go operation. If you want unattended hire, the Selfie Pod or Digital Photo Booth is the right call.

Does the Glambot work outdoors?

Yes, in covered outdoor setups on a solid level surface — marquee, gazebo or building canopy is fine. The rig and the studio softboxes aren't weatherproof, so bare grass or open-sky with weather risk needs a covered area. The ~3m ceiling clearance becomes the tent / canopy height for outdoor setups.

Can the Glambot do photos (stills)?

No — output is video only. The high-frame-rate camera and the programmed sweep arc are designed around slow-motion video; we don't produce stills from this booth. For events that want both video and stills, pair the Glambot with one of our photo booths — the Selfie Pod and Oval Enclosed Photo Booth are both common pairings.

How much does Glambot hire cost?

Pricing depends on event type, distance from our Surrey base, hire duration and any add-ons. Use the instant quote builder to get a tailored figure in under a minute — drop in your date, postcode and guest count and we'll come straight back. Corporate and brand-event pricing is on a separate tier to weddings and private parties; the Glambot is typically booked at the higher tier given the kit and operator overhead.

How far in advance should we book?

As early as you can — the Glambot is one of our most-booked centrepiece products and peak Saturday wedding dates and corporate gala season book out furthest ahead. Weekday and off-peak dates are often available with much shorter notice. Send your date and postcode through the instant quote and we'll confirm availability straight away.

Glambot video booth hire — also commonly searched as slow-motion video booth, robotic arm camera hire, red-carpet video booth or cinematic video booth hire. A robotic arm sweeps a high-frame-rate camera around guests in a programmed arc, capturing cinematic slow-motion video — the same kind of "red carpet at the Met Gala" shot you see at major awards. Two studio softbox lights flank the camera so every guest gets the same flattering finish; a red carpet pose mark with stanchions and ribbons sets a clearly-defined activation area on the floor. A trained operator runs every session. Output is a short slow-motion video clip per session, delivered to each guest's phone within seconds for instant social sharing.

We deliver, set up, calibrate, run and pack down. Indoor, or covered outdoor on a solid level surface (marquee / gazebo / canopy). Booked across Surrey, London, Kent, Sussex, Hampshire, Berkshire and UK-wide — typically as the headline centrepiece at weddings, corporate gala dinners, product launches and brand activations.

Why pick the Glambot — the red-carpet moment in a slow-motion clip

Open-style photo booths capture a posed still. The Glambot captures a cinematic slow-motion moment — the bride and groom mid-laugh on the red carpet, the CEO mid-toast at a brand launch, a guest in a sequin dress turning to the camera with confetti falling around them. The finished clip looks like it was shot for TV; every guest leaves with a shareable Reel-ready video; and the rig itself — robotic arm + studio softboxes + roped-off red carpet area — is the visual centrepiece of the room.

Three reasons it earns its place at higher-spec events. First, the output quality — a high-frame-rate camera on a programmed arc with proper studio lighting produces footage you genuinely can't replicate on a phone or with a regular videographer. Second, the queueing effect — the red carpet activation area pulls guests in; they queue to be next, watch the previous session play back on the operator's screen, and the booth becomes a talking point all night. Third, the brand fit — for corporate events, every clip carries your overlay onto LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok within seconds of capture; the rig itself is photo-worthy backdrop content for the host's social channels too.

What's included in Glambot hire as standard

  • Robotic arm + high-frame-rate camera, programmed sweep arc per session
  • Two studio softbox lights flanking the camera (Godox-class soft box lighting)
  • Red carpet kit — pose mark + stanchions + ribbons setting the activation area
  • Trained operator runs every session — always attended throughout
  • Cinematic slow-motion video clips delivered within seconds of capture
  • QR-code, email, SMS and AirDrop sharing for each clip
  • Branded overlay on every clip (logo, names, event name or hashtag)
  • Branded online gallery delivered after the event
  • Public liability insurance and full delivery / setup / calibration / collection

Add-ons available with Glambot hire

  • Custom backdrop behind the pose mark — branded printed backdrop, sequin wall, floral wall or themed seasonal backdrop coordinated to the activation area
  • Themed prop kits on request — flag a theme (wedding, NYE, Christmas, hen, milestone birthday, Halloween) at quote stage and we'll do our best to match
  • Pairing with a photo booth — common at large events: book the Selfie Pod or Oval Enclosed Photo Booth alongside the Glambot for stills + cinematic video coverage of the same event
  • Pairing with an audio or video guestbook — the Audio Guestbook and Video Guestbook sit on a side table near the Glambot for personal voice or video messages alongside the cinematic clips

Space, power and venue requirements for the Glambot

  • ~4m × 4m clear floor area for the arm sweep and the activation perimeter
  • ~3m ceiling clearance so the arm can move through its full arc
  • 1 × standard 13A mains socket within reach
  • Indoor, or covered outdoor on a solid level surface — marquee, gazebo or building canopy with the same 3m clearance applies for outdoor setups; bare grass or open-sky with weather risk is not suitable

How a Glambot hire runs on the day

  1. Quote and book — drop your event date, postcode and guest count into the instant quote, confirm with a deposit, and send us your logo or event name for the overlay.
  2. Before guests arrive — we turn up 90-120 minutes before your event start time, position the rig, calibrate the arm's sweep arc to the floor area, set up the two studio softboxes, lay out the red carpet kit (pose mark + stanchions + ribbons), and run the first test clip. Setup is 60-90 minutes total.
  3. Through the event — the operator stays at the control station, manages the queue, guides each guest on positioning, and triggers each capture. Sessions run continuously; finished clips play back on the operator's screen so the queue can see what's coming.
  4. Digital sharing — each guest scans a QR code on the screen, or sends the clip via email / SMS / AirDrop straight to their phone. Most guests post to Reels / TikTok / Stories before they're back at their table.
  5. After the event — we pack down the rig and send you a branded online gallery of every clip from the night, ready to share with your guests or repurpose as campaign content for corporate events.

Glambot vs 360 Video Booth vs Selfie Pod — which to pick

All three are popular choices at higher-spec events; each one solves a different brief:

  • Glambot (this page) — robotic arm + studio softboxes + red carpet kit, cinematic slow-motion video clips, always attended, head-height arc with the camera focused on the subject. Pick this for the "celebrity portrait" moment — VIP brand launches, corporate gala dinners, awards nights, premium weddings.
  • 360 Video Booth — guests stand still on a low platform while a camera arm rotates around them at hip height; wide-angle full-body slow-motion video. Better for group shots (3-5 guests at once), dance-floor energy, hen parties and corporate teambuilding events. Different output vibe from the Glambot — more "music video", less "red carpet".
  • Selfie Pod — stand-up booth, still photos with optional GIF / boomerang, 2×6 strip prints, attended or unattended. Different output entirely (stills, not video) and a different operating mode (fits a corner of the room, no operator overhead at the booth itself).

Many large events book the Glambot AND the Selfie Pod — Glambot for the headline cinematic moments, Selfie Pod for guest selfies through the night.

Events where Glambot hire fits best

We cover every type of event. The Glambot fits in particularly well at:

  • Wedding photo booth hire — bridal-party shots, the post-speech "we did it" moment, dance-floor pulled out onto the red carpet. The Glambot becomes the talking point of the reception; every guest leaves with a Reel-ready cinematic clip with the couple's names on the overlay.
  • Corporate brand activation and product launch photo booth hire — the rig itself is photogenic backdrop content for the host's social channels; the clips guests share carry your overlay onto LinkedIn / Instagram / TikTok within seconds. The red carpet area gives the activation a clearly-defined visual identity at trade shows and brand events.
  • Corporate Christmas party photo booth hire — corporate gala season is peak Glambot booking time. Glam dresses + black-tie suits + Christmas themed overlay = social-ready cinematic content guests share through January.
  • Award nights, gala dinners and conferences — the natural fit. Award winners get a Glambot clip with their trophy alongside their press shot; sponsors get branded overlays on every guest clip; the cinematic finish lifts the production value of the whole event.
  • Office team parties, summer socials and away days — high-spec teambuilding content for HR / marketing reuse. Branded overlay carries company logo; the finished clip library is a campaign asset post-event.
  • Hen and stag party photo booth hire — the red carpet moment for the hen / stag in their glam outfit. The cinematic slow-motion finish is the right output for this crowd's social channels.
  • Festivals and community events — the rig as a freestanding centrepiece at large public events; queueing effect and shareable output combine to drive on-the-day social reach. Needs a marquee or covered area for outdoor setups.

Red carpet kit + studio lighting included as standard

Robotic arm and camera are the headline, but the kit around them is what makes the finished clip look like it was shot for TV. Two studio softbox lights flank the camera (so every guest gets the same flattering finish regardless of venue lighting), and a red carpet circle with stanchions and ribbons sets a clearly-defined activation area on the floor — guests know exactly where to stand, queue and pose. All included in the standard hire.

Full red carpet kit on the floor — pose mark, stanchions and ribbons set the activation area before guests arrive.

Adapts to any venue or theme

The rig is freestanding and the operator calibrates the sweep arc to the floor area we've got. We've run Glambot hires in hotel ballrooms, period mansions, modern conference centres, charity galas with custom branded backdrops, Halloween / Day of the Dead themed parties, and corporate brand activations. The studio lighting and red carpet kit come along regardless; the only thing that changes is how the arm is positioned in the room.

Adapts to any venue or theme — period mansion, hotel ballroom, modern conference centre, branded activation stand.
