No — the Ring Roamer is fully battery powered and runs the full event on a single charge. The operator can move freely between rooms, between floors, indoors and out with no cables to manage. Perfect for venues where the dance floor and the bar are at opposite ends of the building, or where there's no socket near the action.
About 30–60 minutes. We arrive 30–60 minutes before your event start time, set up and test the rig, brief the operator on your branding and any specific moments to look out for, then start roaming the moment your guests are ready.
Framing is adjustable depending on how close the operator holds the rig: solo selfies, couples, small groups or wider group shots all work. Throughput is high because there's no queue — instead of guests waiting for a fixed booth, the operator finds different pockets of the room throughout the night, so a much wider spread of your guests gets captured than usually happens with a fixed setup.
Yes — always. The whole point of the rig is that an operator carries it; without the operator there's no booth. The operator is the experience: they read the room, find the moments, frame the shots and help guests with the share screen. No props on the Ring Roamer. Because the operator is moving through the venue, props don't travel well with the rig — and most of the moments the roamer captures are already candid (laughing on the dance floor, mid-toast at the table, hugs at the bar) rather than the prop-and-pose moments a fixed booth gets. If you want props as well, our fixed booths (Selfie Pod, Vintage, Magic Mirror) include them as standard.

The operator works the room while guests are eating, drinking and dancing rather than pulling them away from the action to queue at a fixed booth. The branded overlay carries the couple's names and date on every shot. Yes — as long as it's not raining. The Ring Roamer is rated for indoor and outdoor use on a level surface; the electronics aren't weatherproof, so active rain is the only hard rule. Garden parties, marquees, terraces, festival-style brand activations and outdoor receptions all work. We'll check the forecast with you the week of the event and agree a contingency if the weather looks marginal.
