Event Catering

Frequently Asked Questions

Are your catering stations a replacement for proper food at the event?

No — they're "fun foods", designed to sit alongside your main catering rather than replace it. Sweet carts, candy floss, popcorn, and slush stations work as crowd-pleasing extras during cocktail hour, after the meal, or through evening receptions where guests want a snack-style sweet treat.

Are your catering hires food-safe?

Yes — all stations are PAT-tested and our consumables come from food-safe UK suppliers. The slush hire uses glycerol-free syrup specifically (read why in our glycerol post). Allergen info available per station at booking.

Self-serve vs staffed for catering stations?

Both options work. Self-serve suits casual events and adult parties — guests scoop their own. Staffed adds a presenter who manages portion sizes, presentation, and restocking. Staffed is recommended for kids' parties (avoids sweet-related mayhem) and corporate events (presentation matters).

Do you cover dietary requirements?

Standard packages are nut-free across the board. Vegan, halal, and gluten-free options can be specified per station. Each item is labelled with allergen info on the day. Send dietary requirements at booking and we'll confirm coverage.

What happens to leftover food after the event?

Unopened/sealed stock is yours to keep — packed into clean containers and left at end of hire. Open-but-uneaten items (e.g. half-stocked dispensers) are removed during pack-down for food-safety reasons.
